In the Beginning

I started baking two months ago. Prior to this, my idea of making anything related to food was making reservations. Or making coffee.

So here I was, loving retirement, living in a home with a fantastic kitchen for the first time in my life. Making coffee, naturally.

I met Sharon. At a restaurant, naturally. At some point, she suggested that we bake something together.

And that was the beginning.

I found that I loved to bake. Not so much because I liked to eat what I baked. I don't have much of a sweet tooth. But I like to mix things together and see what happens. When things go wrong, I like to figure out how to make them better. And I love baking gadgets. I told my husband I need a bigger kitchen, just for all the gadgets I'm starting to collect. Call me Gadget Girl.
